Mind, Perspective & Soul — in-prison programming
Pilates in Prison
A restorative moment for incarcerated women. Movement, breath, and discipline offered inside the places where autonomy and self-care are hardest to come by.
Pilates in Prison extends the work of Mind, Perspective & Soul beyond conversation and into the body. Through intentional movement, breath, and discipline, participants are given space to release stress, rebuild confidence, and reconnect with themselves in an environment where autonomy and self-care are often limited.
It is more than movement. It is a tool for emotional regulation, resilience, and healing, helping participants strengthen the connection between mind and body as they prepare for who they want to become beyond incarceration.

The program behind it
Mind, Perspective & Soul
Mind, Perspective & Soul (MPS) is an 8-week interactive, trauma-informed personal development program created by 300 Letters for women currently incarcerated.
- 8Weeks of interactive sessions
- Trauma-informedBuilt around how people actually heal
- On-siteDelivered inside correctional facilities
- Created in-houseDesigned by 300 Letters
Delivered inside correctional facilities, MPS is designed to help participants strengthen their sense of identity, develop healthier coping tools, build self-awareness, and prepare mentally and emotionally for the lives they are working toward, both during incarceration and after release.
Through guided conversations, practical exercises, reflection, movement, and evidence-informed wellness strategies, participants explore topics including:
- Mindset
- Self-worth
- Emotional regulation
- Accountability
- Resilience
- Relationships
- Self-care
- Goal setting
- Personal growth
The program is designed to be practical and actionable. Participants are encouraged to identify patterns, challenge limiting beliefs, develop healthier daily habits, and begin making meaningful changes with the resources available to them right where they are.
MPS also incorporates wellness experiences such as Pilates in Prison, reinforcing the connection between physical movement, mental health, discipline, confidence, and overall well-being.
Our goal is not simply to prepare women for reentry. It is to remind them that growth, healing, purpose, and transformation can begin long before release.
Pilates at HCI
A restorative moment for incarcerated women
Our most recent series ran at Homestead Correctional Institution, where participants met on mats each week for guided Pilates alongside their MPS sessions.
Sessions are led by trained instructors, adapted to every fitness level, and run entirely within each facility's security and programming requirements.
